Solid Waste Management (SWM) Monitoring Portal
A dedicated Solid Waste Management (SWM) page has been developed on the official website of Municipal Corporation Karnal to provide transparent and up-to-date information regarding the implementation of Solid Waste Management activities across the city.
The portal displays the current implementation status, ongoing projects, challenges encountered, corrective measures undertaken, and progress achieved under the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016. It also facilitates regular monitoring and reporting of sanitation activities carried out by the Municipal Corporation.
The portal includes a dedicated facility for uploading geo-tagged photographic evidence related to waste management activities, including:

This information is published to ensure transparency, facilitate public awareness, strengthen monitoring mechanisms, and support effective implementation of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.
The portal has been developed in compliance with Paragraph 12 of the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s Order, enabling regular updates on implementation status, issues encountered, progress achieved, and photographic documentation of waste management activities.
